The 10th anniversary of the Africa Energy Forum will take place at the Nice Acropolis

• 35 government minister and 35 state utilities have presented investment and business opportunities to international power developers;
• Facilitated by the presence of major financial and legal institutions;

Where governments and business meet

• This was an extremely useful conference which should help solve some of Africa's energy problems.

The Place to Meet

AEF2008 will be held at the Nice Acropolis, 25 to 27 June. This is the meeting place for the African and international power sectors. AEF2008 also includes seminars on energy access and the changing face of Africa’s gas sector. Governments acknowledge the fundamental role of power in development. It is at the annual Africa Energy Forum that they meet to promote investment opportunities.

Driving Development

The power of utilities in fostering a country’s development places considerable influence and responsibility on those that head them. They meet at the Africa Energy Forum to engage the international community in a debate on how best to deliver essential power services.

Opporunities for Investors

The lack of adequate power services in Africa offers opportunities to international power developers, contractors, equipment manufacturers and advisers, many of whom sponsored AEF2007.

Promoting Business

More than 430 industry leaders met at AEF 2007 and made good use of its networking facilities. The exhibition at Nice will continue to be an important feature and open for longer. A French-style café will operate throughout. Coffee breaks and the AEF Reception wll also be held in the exhibition hall.
